Tate Modern's ‘Frida: The Making of an Icon’ open until January 2027, traces Frida Kahlo's journey from artist to global icon through more than 30 of her works alongside garments, photographs and the objects that built her legacy as a cultural phenomenon. We were thrilled when Tate approached us to develop products for this important exhibition. Kahlo used clothing as a language long before fashion caught up with her and used dress as an expression of her identity and politics. This made the project even more intentional to us. As a trusted partner Tate knew our capabilities and trusted us to not just support in developing a new product range for them but to also adapt these important artworks with skill and care. The Weekend Tote features a placement print of one of her most recognisable works ‘Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird’. Books & Company has been part of Hellerup, Copenhagen, since 2009, the city's independent home for English language books. It has built its reputation on knowing its readers, through book clubs, events, and recommendations that come from genuine conversation rather than a bestseller table. We have worked with Books & Company since 2012, and in that time their tote bag has hardly changed. The same print, the same shape. Just a few fun seasonal colour updates. Proof that a good design doesn't need reinventing to stay relevant. Our partnership is built on a shared belief that the considered path offers more than a quick one. When our founder, Janjri, was in Copenhagen recently, she made the time to visit in person, to see the space they have created and meet the team behind it. Anita Le Roy has been championing single origin coffee since she opened Monmouth Coffee Company in 1978. In a narrow Georgian townhouse on Monmouth Street, Covent Garden, she began roasting beans in the basement and serving them upstairs, at a time when most people were still reaching for instant. Monmouth was built slowly and intentionally. It was shaped over decades with conviction, faithful to its founding principles. Nearly fifty years on, it remains the benchmark. Evidence that when you care deeply about how something is crafted, the work endures. We have had the privilege of collaborating with Monmouth for 17 years, designing their tote bags based on their distinctive coffee bag designs. We were delighted to collaborate with the V&A Museum on this beautifully crafted tote, created in celebration of the exhibition Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art. At the heart of the design is an intricate embroidery, carefully developed as a tribute to a garment featured within the exhibition: a 1937 coat inspired by drawings from the French artist, poet and filmmaker Jean Cocteau. It was a privilege for our artisans to bring this piece to life, which honours the artistry of the original work and the continued dialogue between fashion and art. Beautiful design by @vamuseum .
