We cultivate a nurturing, positive, and supportive work environment, that prioritises the holistic well-being of our artisans.

In rural India, women often face significant challenges, and our mission is to equip them with the tools they require for independent success. Through comprehensive mentorship and technical training, they gain the skills to craft high-quality products with confidence and pride. Additionally, we provide them access to health workers for counselling on various issues including domestic abuse, and menstrual, and mental health issues.

Our goal is to create a joyful workplace that fosters a strong sense of community among our artisans.

our value chain

our impact extends far beyond our artisan units in Mysore and Gumballi

Through long-term partnerships, training, and shared expertise, we support hundreds of rural artisans, printers, and farmers . Together, we are creating a network of opportunity that creatively nurtures entire communities transforming lives in South India.

  • Between 2017 and 2020, we partnered with 4,000 cotton farmers across South India through the FPO (Farmer Producer Organisation) model, a collective approach that empowers smallholder farmers with financial access, training, and market opportunities.

Together, we supported their transition from conventional to organic farming practices, helping them achieve organic certification and long-term soil health.

Today, these farmers operate independently, continuing to grow organic cotton, sharing knowledge with neighbouring FPOs, and inspiring a new generation of regenerative farmers.

  • At re-wrap, our ‘Seed-to-Shop’ mission reflects our commitment to every person in our supply chain.

From ginning and spinning, to weaving and finishing, we partner only with suppliers we have rigorously vetted and are compliant with GOTS certification standards.

We believe ethical and responsible production begins at the very start of the process, ensuring that every step respects both people and the planet.

  • We proudly partner with a small rural printing unit that preserves the traditional craft of wax bed printing. A meticulous, hand-executed process passed down through generations.

On 22-metre waxed tables, artisans print each design by hand, one colour at a time, achieving crisp lines and richly layered, multi-colour patterns. Nearly all our fabric organic cotton re-wraps are produced this way, combining artistry with precision.

We also ensure that this tradition remains environmentally responsible:

    • We use only water-based pigments.

    • Our facility includes a water treatment system that meets high environmental standards.

This partnership keeps heritage craftsmanship alive while ensuring safe practices for artisans and the planet.

  • We extend our support to four sewing units, reaching over 400 artisans across rural South India. By sharing technical expertise and providing ongoing mentorship, we help strengthen local economies and create stable employment opportunities for women in rural areas.

Our commitment goes beyond skills. We invest in infrastructure and resource efficiency:

    • Solar-powered facilities: all our rural units now operate on renewable energy.

    • GOTS compliance: every production partner meets the rigorous standards of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), ensuring ethical, safe, and environmentally responsible operations.

Together, we are building a resilient network of artisans who are shaping the future of their communities.
